Youth Sports Traumatic Brain Injury Laws

Each year as many as 300,000 young people suffer traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), or what is more commonly known as a concussion, from playing sports. TBIs can have serious short and long term health effects and most states have passed laws aimed at reducing harm from brain injuries occurring at scholastic youth sports activities.
